Furthermore, how social mentoring, an untraditional innovation rooted in social anomalies, fits into the future of workplaces and social inclusion?

The Companies Doing Good Forum is an event that catalyses the understanding that public institutions have a key role to play in setting trends and thinking about supporting vulnerable people. It is also a place where you can present yours!

Are we in the worst of times or the best of times? Why should public institutions take part in the Companies Doing Good Forum?

Because:

  •  We, as a civil society sector, support the strategic orientation of the reform in the social policy to individually tailor up the mentoring support for vulnerable groups in the process of labour market integration;
  •  We, as a civil society sector, support the endeavours of the public sector to innovate in the social protection sphere;
  •  Also, we, as a civil society sector, support social mentoring, an untraditional innovation rooted in social anomalies, and the response it offers in terms of the future of workplaces and social inclusion.

Join us! You can (just) listen, but also present and engage in a conversation with actors from the region or simply observe where the world is headed!

How can ‘job carving’ and ‘job crafting’ be utilized to match the needs of enterprises with peoples’ talents, needs and interests? How to ensure that social policies contribute to humanizing job designs that are consistent with efficiency and sustainability?

Labour market activation approaches are not unknown in our country. Various methodologies have been tested and used by the CSOs that work with vulnerable groups and public institutions.

We intend to capitalise on that experience and advocate for changes in the social protection system in our country not by importing new ideas, but by creating cohesion with those existing in the context. What is necessary is to ensure a common understanding among the key stakeholders on the need to innovate so to activate the untapped labour force within society.

Strategies of this kind can contribute to the humanisation of work and may gain importance due to the digitalisation and automation processes that drive the changes in the world of work.

Let’s look at experimentation and reform as an investment.

It is the place where you can hear about new business trends and solutions as a response to new challenges as witnessed by speakers from companies such as IKEA and DECATHLON. And a place where you can also present yours!

Do you have a socially responsible initiative connected to workplaces and inclusive labour market? Or maybe you have a different one that you are proud of? Let us know! We have a couple of models in which you can
contribute to the Forum.

Why should you utilise the usually invisible segment of the traditional labour market in the search for employees?

How can this boost the productivity and bring vivid visibility to your company, hence the real social impact you are contributing to?!

We are exploring the question of what is necessary in order to ensure a common understanding among the key stakeholders regarding the need to innovate to activate the untapped labour force within society.

The Companies Doing Good Forum is an event that showcases the best practices of cooperation between the traditional business sector and the civil sphere (SEs and CSOs). It is also a place where you can present yours

Held from Skopje, April 15th and 16th from 10:00 -14:00 CET (online – Zoom platform), the Companies Doing Good Forum offers a holistic look into what is possible as a transformative change at the businesses/people/ institutions intersection!

Are we in the worst of times or the best of times? Why should social enterprises (SEs) and CSOs take part in the Companies Doing Good Forum?

Because:

  • We, as part of the civil society sphere, support the efforts of the actors in the civil sphere and the SEs to contribute to better social welfare policies by expanding them with the business sector so that ‘no one is left behind’;
  • We, as part of the civil society sphere, are eager to share good practices on community models for the development of social services that are aligned with the needs of the local communities and in many cases take the form of a social enterprise or a social business;
  • We, as part of the civil sphere, pursue a new mindset about self sustainability and the arising opportunities in providing social services for the vulnerable groups – our target beneficiaries, as is the case of social mentoring, an untraditional innovation rooted in social anomalies, a response to the future of workplaces and social inclusion.

Join us! You can (just) listen, but also present and engage in a conversation with actors from the region or simply observe where the world is headed.

Labour market activation approaches are the modus operandi for the actors in the civil sphere that focus on increasing the employment opportunities for vulnerable groups. Various methodologies have been tested and used by the CSOs that work with vulnerable groups and public institutions.

Let’s look at experimentation and innovation as intrinsic to CSOs.
